The NHIT Collaborative brings a proven model and approaches for meaningful engagement with underserved communities in the development and use of health IT as a means to support and sustain health equity and economic viability. The NHIT Collaborative represents national, regional, and local organizations focused on addressing health disparities through the use of new and innovative technologies and peripheral mobile devices. Core capabilities of the NHIT team include engagement in HIT planning, adoption and use; consumer/provider outreach and education; workforce development; policy development, research, and evaluation. NHIT provides expert-level community engagement, collaboration, and advocacy, advisory services federal agencies and other key private sector and community-based stakeholders. NHIT has leveraged these capabilities to benefit federal agency partners in multiple venues including the Annual NHIT Collaborative for the Underserved Conference, Wall Street Summit – The Business of Health, and multiple legislative outreach initiatives.
